QuestNet Trick – Take it or leave it!

I bet, this is a marketing strategy that many have discovered and are using, ‘tell them to leave it alone if they disagree’. If you haven’t used it before, try it and you’ll see the difference. Some QuestNet presenters use it to lure more and more representatives.

I was preparing my garden for planting some green paper seedlings when I received a call from a friend. “Come here for a business meeting in the next hour at Manzini, it’s a business idea that I strongly believe would work even for you. It’s good enough for you to come and listen after which, you can ‘either take it or leave it’”. I wanted to ask some more to learn what the idea is all about, but this friend of mine didn’t entertain the questions but just worked harder to convince me to come for the meeting. I bent and drove about 40 kilometers to attend the meeting.

In the meeting, a reputable person in the country stood up to introduce the speaker from Kenya, who would then introduce the so-called timeless business idea that has made her some good money. The introduction was really good such that we got so eager to hear the whole presentation from the host. ‘Ok, this man really loved the idea and thought it would work in Swaziland as well’, I thought to myself. I then gave in to sitting until the presentation was over.

The moment of truth came and the presentation was just excellent. We did get time to ask questions but some answers were as simple as ‘You either take it or leave it, but I’m who I am because of QuestNet’. We just couldn’t give ourselves enough time to think but we got socked into the idea, no breathing space but thinking of where to get the money to join and activate. I joined and waited two months before attempting to sell the idea to friends and family. Why it took me so long to sell is because I anticipated that this idea may not work in our community. It was not until my sister who had joined two days before the presentation told me of her growing earnings (the same sister who is in tears today for loosing estimated to US $3, 400 to QuestNet with no benefit). She actually felt sorry for me that I had not earned even after two months. Then I got convinced that it may work for me as well. At her word, I got deep into my pocket and crippled my reserves, invited others and made vigorous presentations. The story is too long to put down in black and white.

It didn’t work for me and others (my sister included), but it could be working for others. I think the presenter from Kenya got to where she is because of QuestNet as she said. I know she could be earning even today, and possibly the owners of the company as well. I know this is a legal Multi-Level Marketing initiative, but what we have today from participating is the following:

1. Un-recovered money spent on transport, telephone, booking venues, direct payment to QuestNet account, etc.
2. Sour relationship with community members, friends and family
3. Destroyed our long time built reputation, while we hoping to Raise Ourselves Help Mankind (RYTHM)

You may think I’m out to destroy QuestNet, but I’m just voicing my heartfelt disappointment at this MLM scheme. I have thus set up a website to recommend an approach that I think would practically help people earn without risking or losing any of the four attributes listed above. You can visit me at yeboyeafrica and try by all means not to take shortcuts as they have proven over time that they lead to a ditch.
